The SLAS 2021 Building Biology in 3D Hybrid Symposium is a two-day event that will address the successes and limitations of using 3D systems in discovery and applied research while acknowledging the need for improvements to ensure widespread adoption.

Our poster describes the methods and tools for increasing throughput and automation in 3D cancer assays and compound screening. We also illustrate the advanced analysis approaches and descriptors, which enable scientists to understand complex cellular systems, disease phenotypes, and compound effects. For this second poster, we set up a workcell with an incubator, liquid handler, high-content imager, plate reader, and centrifuge. The instruments are accessible by a software-controlled robotic arm to transfer cell culture plates between instruments. Using lung organoids as the 3D model, we developed protocols to seed and plate cells in Matrigel® domes using the workcell’s liquid handler. Get the results by clicking here:
